- Get 1 1/2 cup pasta (can be macaroni, rotini, or shell pasta)
- Take 1/2 cup Daiya dairy free cheddar style shredded "cheese"
- Prepare 1/2 cup Daiya dairy free mozzarella style shredded "cheese"
- Prepare 1/3 cup unsweetened soy or almond milk
- Use 2 tbsp Earth Balance non dairy buttery spread
- Get 1 dash sea salt
Steps to make Lilhpster's VEGAN Mac & Cheese:
- Boil the pasta on high heat until al dente.
- Remove from the stove and drain the excess water. Turn the burner down to low heat. Place back on the stove and add the "butter" and the "milk" and the salt
- Stir in both types of "cheese".
- Stir CONTINUOUSLY until all the cheese and butter melt to create a thick cheese sauce. Add more milk or cheese to create your preferred consistency.
