The ingredients needed to prepare Caffa Barfi:
  1. Provide 3 big Carrots
  2. Use 2 big red Apple
  3. You need 5-6 big Figs
  4. You need 1/3 cup Walnuts
  5. Take 1 cup Milk powder

Instructions to make Caffa Barfi:
  1. Take all the ingredients ready and grate carrots and apples.
  2. Cut figs in small pieces.
  3. Heat 1/4th cup of ghee in a heavy bottomed saucepan.
  4. Add in grated carrot and apple and stir in to cook in medium heat.
  5. Cook for about 15 to 20 minutes in medium heat.
  6. Next add in chopped figs and cook for more 5 minutes.
  7. Then add in 1 cup of milk powder and stir well to incorporate.
  8. When everything becomes a homogeneous mixture and a nice aroma emits, add in 1/2 cup of sugar or as per your taste. Also add in 1 pinch of salt.
  9. Stir well and cook until sugar dissolves completely and the mixture becomes little sticky and oily. Remove from heat and add in some chopped walnuts and mix well.
  10. The mixture should be sticky and if press within your fingers, you can make ladoo.
  11. Grease a rectangular or round dish with little ghee and transfer the mixture when they are still hot.
  12. With your greased hand arrange the mixture in a thick rectangular form.
  13. Cover and keep the dish in the refrigerator for an hour to set completely and then cut in square pieces.
