The ingredients needed to make Jambalaya:
- Prepare 1 lb ground turkey
- Use 1 lb bacon ends
- Use 1 lb smoked sausage
- Use 1/2 onion, chopped
- You need 1/2 green pepper, chopped
- Provide 1/2 cup celery, chopped
- Provide 1 cup okra , chopped
- You need 3 Tomatoes, chopped
- Use 1 cup Mushrooms, chopped
- Get 1/2 cup squash, chopped
- Use 1 cup corn
- You need 1 can black beans
- You need 4 cup chicken broth
- You need 2 1/2 cup rice
- Provide 4 tbsp cajun seasoning
- Provide 1 Hot sauce ( as wanted )
Instructions to make Jambalaya:
- Brown turkey, set aside.
- Fry bacon ends, set aside.
- Cubed smoked sausage and brown.
- Add onion , celery & peppers. Cook til soft.
- Add turkey and bacon to smoked sausage mixture.
- Combine all remaining ingredients in a large pot with meat mixture.
- Heat til boiling. Cover and simmer 25-30 min. Until rice is tender.
